Trivia

bryng's thoughts

The last sail of the Jummbox / Unbox / Abyssbox era of Jumper Corp. This album was made out of pure hope for a better world, one that I'm comfortable saying I'm in now. While it may not reflect in the sound of the record, this album was heavily inspired by Godspeed You! Black Emperor and Thee Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra. Specifically, the abundance of hope their music has. The first two tracks and track 5 were made for a black midi-esque album that never came out. The final track is a cover of a Thee Silver Mt. Reveries song, I hope I ruined it for you. I partially intended this album's artwork to be the opposite of the same class as Between Solar Systems by OK Sorry, since they'd release so close to each other. I mean, Between Solar Systems has a character standing on their own waiting patiently, meanwhile this one has a character lying on the ground alone. The juxtaposition of the vast space background behind Jumper and the three windows to different lives lighting up the bare skin of Stargirl was only a little intentional. Oh yeah, her name is Stargirl and she was originally made for Deep Death by bryng before the beheaded Jumper was thought of.
